Friends: From the only fact of my observations, I believe that our problem with the abandonments in INTERNAF can decrease. Nevertheless, the " unsubscribe " number, it has existed, it exists, and it will exist. We speak of ataxia: an illness [today] dark and with few treatment options. The problem is not in the quantity and quality of the information of INTERNAF, the authentic problem is in the nature of the information: All we have come to INTERNAF looking for a miraculous information that she opened us a door to the hope. I sit down it: [today] miraculous treatment doesn't exist. It is that nonexistence what disappoints, and it drives to " unsubscibe ". On the other hand, yes I have found a group of friends.
To facilitate the reading of the messages of INTERNAF, I support Mary Dunlap's proposal. If ourselves is able to divide our texts in sections, it would be easier for the reader to choose the topics of their interest.

The sentence of the hard teeth, it didn't pass of being a joke that I finished with the sign": -D." The following sentence was an affectionate advice. Sarah, I have been young as you, and I have felt offended when somebody offered help. I sought to demonstrate me that I was normal and I didn't need help. And what did I extract of this position?. Anything: I only injured inwardly and it hurt people whose good will I rejected. Each small detail can make happy to a person: To give and to receive is oneself thing.

Friend --------: Today I differ of your opinion. Usually, you and me, we are always of agreement, but today we have different points of view. I will write down the reasons for those that we should not settle down as deprived that type of short messages. 1- A great part of those messages is written by those who possess worse health. We should not discriminate against for that reason to anybody. On the contrary, they are who more support needs. We suffer an illness of degenerative type and some day we will probably write only two lines and we will also clamor for the right to communicate. 2- A message is never useless to be concise. As Rawnie says: it is not the same thing a congratulation deprived in the kitchen that a public congratulation in the table. Or as Dawn says: it is not same a welcome in public that a welcome in private. In public he has effects multipliers. I remember that when I began timidly to write in INTERNAF, I was very insecure and I thought that I made the ridicule... one day a INTERNAFers responded in public to my message with two only words: "Very this"... that day I saw the sky.
To formulate a complaint for the time that gets lost in reading a message... it is absurd: It is only some seconds of time [what is a simple look] to appreciate if it is a topic of our interest. And if those seconds of time, they make happy to another person... they will never be lost.

The accident victim for traffic can accept his situation and to think about a concrete way of life, adapting to his possibilities. In a process of degeneration, it is also possible to accept the situation and to think about a way of life... but in a degeneration, it is more complicated to adapt to the possibilities: because those possibilities [although in a slow way] they constantly change because of the degenerative process.

This guy can't even scratch his hand if it itches. He is TOTALLY DEPENDENT on his family. What makes him better or worse than us? ......

Friend ---------: You have reason: He doesn't have any importance the cause of suffering. But here I have not spoken of suffering more... or of suffering less. I have left very clear my respect to people that suffer any decrease of the physical or psychic abilities. I believe that [with success or error in the words] we have spoken of the SPECIAL circumstances of suffering a degenerative process where our situation changes progressive form slowly. Each case of decrease of abilities [with independence of the cause that originates it] he has some SPECIAL circumstances [or specific]. To discuss those specific circumstances, it doesn't imply to compare quantities of sufferings. Me I would never affirm to suffer more than their friend from Malaysia... but me yes I can affirm that each group [or person] we have some specific circumstances.
Friend Dawn, you send my greetings and good desires to their friend from Malaysia... and a hug for each one of you...

Friend ----------: A Spanish proverb affirms that "all the comparisons are hateful". Therefore, you have reason. I should never use the word comparisons. We have fallen in the trap [very human] of looking for reference points. We should analyze our difficulties without mentioning to other groups of people with another class of physical decrease. Nevertheless, except for small shadings, [as my error in the use of the word comparisons] I believe that things that nobody of us has never affirmed are discussing. We all respect the person it is which is the origin of the decrease of abilities [physical or psychic]. And we don't discuss for comparison quantities of suffering, we speak of the special circumstance of suffering a progressive degeneration. We should speak of our difficulties... without mentioning to other groups. Possibly in some of our messages there were words that we should never pronounce "paraplegic"... "traffic accident"... " comparisons "... etc. But those they are small errors without importance that we make all those that we write :-) . And he solely never says another word, the one that never speaks :-) .
I believe that Lisa M., Shawn, and me, we have been correct: they have not understood each other our shadings. I don't feel guilty of anything: Shawn seems a harder type that Lisa M. Lisa M. seems more affected by this polemic, and I hope she realizes that this disccusión lacks importance.
- Lisa M., spirit, ahead!.
