Dear --------: Thank you to give me the opportunity to put a honorable final point to this polemic. You know that I don't care to ask for forgiveness, but in this case it is unnecessary: some don't WANT to LISTEN explanations neither shadings. This " war " was not me " war ": I intervened to subtract importance to the absurd force with which it was beaten Lisa: and now I am pursued wrongly.
Barb, you take a lot of time in INTERNAF, and you know perfectly that Lisa and me, we don't lack comprehension. AND you know that in my 180 messages to INTERNAF, it doesn't lack comprehension for other groups: even, I request comprehension for those that broken-hearted they thought of the suicide, because they were needed of help.
Barb, I agree with your appreciation about the suffering. I will respond to your question with a paragraph that I hit in this same forum of INTERNAF, the day 1 of May, in subject: pain." Textually: "But the biggest test in the uselessness of wanting to make a separation of pains is in you, Suzanne. You, the mothers, for the love to their children, suffer the pains of an ataxia without being at least affected. What pain class? Pain... without more... for what reason to divide it in classes?".

Friend -----------: Is you very bad ;-) . I will bite the appetizing fishhook of responding to your question and I will leave the realization of some congratulations for tomorrow :-D .
Here in Spain we live the Latin culture of the birth or Nativity. It is good to admit all the cultures, because they enrich us. However, with regard to the Christmas, a negative culture affects us negatively to all: It is the culture of the excessive consumption that imposes us the market tyranny. The Nativity [reproduction of the event of Belen of almost 2.000 years ago] it will be as big as place there is in the house and it will be as beautiful as imagination has the family. Doesn't lack S. Joseph, Maria an Boy... an ass and an ox... prairies made with moss... shepherds... sheep... angels... you shatter... feigned rivers with silver paper... built roads with sand come Kings magicians with their camels for where. We have also adopted the Nordic tradition of the tree of Christmas. But we don't know Santa Claus: timidly we accept the Dad Noel of the French version. In fact, in Spain, they are the King magicians those that bring the gifts to the children. In Spain we hate the turkey and we like the shellfish and the sucking lamb.

In Christmas, I alternating the happiness with the melancholy. I like to send " christmas " to congratulate the Christmas. I love good words: love... peace... and the hope... I like the family sense of the Christmas. This Christmas [via computer] I will go some day to Canada. But... as Rawnie it puts turkey for the dinner... I will return quickly to Spain :-D .
Happy parties for all the INTERNAFers!.

-----------: I think exactly the same as your house neighbor: the music professor. The elimination of the educational programs of all that has some relationship with the religion is a serious error that we will pay very soon. A youth will be able to know who Michael Jackson, or Agatha Christie is, but he won't know who it was Jesus of Nazaret, or what the Koran is, or to make any interpretation of the Bible. This religious elimination of the education, deteriorates the culture. It is not possible to untie the religion of great part of the painting, the literature, the sculpture, the music, or the architecture. It is not possible to understand the arts or the traditions from a religious ignorance. It leaves of the blame of this error, they have it the religious leaders that want to impose their beliefs like the only truth, and, also, our fear to the knowledge of other beliefs. And the integration of the towns, is in to know and to respect its beliefs, but NEVER in suppressing that that makes them different. The intransigence is born of the ignorance.
Friend Jody, if I go to your house to have dinner and I attend a sentence according to your rite, I don't betray neither to my religion, neither to ANY religion. However, if I go to their house to steal, I betray to my religion, to ALL the religions, and to ALL the ethics norms. Inside the respect to the differences, we can look for what unites us positively. The dilemma that you outline, doesn't exist in the reality. The words don't betray, they betray the feelings. Example: JOKE: I cannot simply betray to my pumpkin to hum the Brazilian Roberto Carlos' song: "Hug me strong Lady Laura" [Laura ;-)] :-D .

193- Subject: Merry Christmas!, 18/12/1997.

Dear friends: Today it has snowed on my village and I can see the white mantel of the snow through the glasses of my window. I believe that the snow will serve me as inspiration to wish the INTERNAFers Merry Christmas. Us, those of the north hemisphere, we always associate the Christmas with the snow: We don't understand how Michelle and their countrymen, they can have a Christmas with threats of fires in the forests and having dinner in Christmas Eve cold salads. Don't get angry Michelle :-) . In the bottom I envy you: There I would not feel cold in my ataxian members. When I has a lottery prize, I will spend the Christmas to Australia :-D . I explain that the symbol of the laugh is because me never game to the lottery :-D .
In this writing, the snow is pure anecdote. They have already lapsed many years since I could print in the snow the prints of my feet, and they have still lapsed more years since I made my last puppet of snow. However, the white color of the snow can serve us as symbol to express our desire: I WANT A WHITE WORLD AS THE MANTEL OF THE SNOW, where they don't exist the dirts that often make damage to people: A world with peace and with distributive justice.
The parties give me some panic. And I don't say it to put a blot of ink in my writing [that today should be white ;-)], I say it as understanding for the INTERNAFers that have spoken openly of melancholy. Our human necessity to look for a reference point acts: And the happiness of the other ones reminds us negatively our own miseries. But Christmas is a different party, full with paradoxes: feared and yearned, cheerful and melancholic, where we pass of the company from the family to the most awful solitude. Christmas is the party of the LOVE: that love that all.. all... all the human beings need to live, and stiller those that we need help of other for the most elementary thing. Christmas is the party of a peace based in the sincere love to our neighbor. Christmas is a party to maintain the hope: I hope the scientists discover something that improves our quality of ataxians life. But if the discovery doesn't happen, I always have left hope that some day I will be able to understand the "bent" lines of God.

Friends, I wish you love, peace and the hope.¡Merry Christmas!.

No te enfades Michelle :-) .
¡Feliz Navidad!.

Friend -------------: The question of having children, or not to have them, being ataxian, it is not generic, it is purely personal: It depends on each person's circumstances. And among those circumstances it is important the ataxia type and what that person knows on the illness. To have children is an act of love: It is to be given to them. To have children is not to enjoy them. The second it acts as incentive of the first thing. But to be given to son is the main cause... the other thing is the incentive.
In all ways, an ataxian perfectly can page the main cause of the LOVE with the incentive of enjoying the company of a boy without risk of transmitting the illness. If the ataxian believes that he can give the boy a home and if he doesn't want to assume the risk of transmitting the illness, it can appeal to the boy's adoption. The adoption is not a renouncement to the LOVE... the adoption neither is a renouncement to the incentive of enjoying the boy. An adoption only supposes a renouncement to the normal human desire of perpetuating our ego.

197- Subject: Re: [INTERNAF] CARLOS P. (SPAIN), 22/12/1997.

Dear friends: Yesterday he sent us to INTERNAF a christma an Argentinean: Santiago. It was a very special form of wishing us Merry Christmas. It was a long and beautiful poem in Spanish that Santiago concluded with the words: HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!.
The poem is very beautiful... but I know that you have not been able to extract all their flavor for the differences of the language. For it, with this crazy translator of software, I have tried to carry out a bad one... bad... bad... translation. I hope Santiago Delfino doesn't get angry... Kathy Dufour [the official translator of INTERNAF] I don't throw a fight... and you don't take me for polyglot: All the congratulations and all deficiencies are for my software translator [ :-)] : I have only put almost three working hours. At the end, in a FREE TRANSLATION my crazy translator has translated the words of Santiago Delfino this way:

[Santiago Delfino's original is behind the translation. And at the end of the message, they are the arrangements in Spanish that I have carried out to be able to translate].

LOVE ME, JUST AS YOU ARE
I know your misery,
I know the combats and tribulations of your soul,
I know the fragility and the illnesses of your body,
I know your cowardice,
I know your sins and your weaknesses.
But, in spite of knowing all that, I tell you:
GIVE ME YOUR HEART AND LOVE ME JUST AS YOU ARE.
If you wait to be an angel to love, you would not never love me.
Although you frequently fall in the same lacks again
that you never wanted to make,
although you are cowardly in the practice of the virtue,
I DON'T WANT YOU TO REFUSE ME THE LOVE.
Love me, just as you are:
in each instant and in any situation in that you are:
in the fervor or in the spiritual aridity,
in the fidelity, and until in the infidelity.
Love me; just as you are.
I WANT THE LOVE OF YOUR NEEDY HEART.
If to love me you hoped to be perfect, you would never love me.
I could not make of each grain of sand a radiant seraph
full with purity, of nobility and of love?
I could not make arise with my will thousands of saints of anything,
or, a thousand more perfect voices and but lit in love that those that I have created?
I am not the OMNIPOTENT?
My son, LET ME THAT I LOVE YOU.
I want your heart.
I want to be formed, but while I form you,
I LOVE YOU JUST AS YOU ARE,
and I yearn that you make the same thing with me:
I want to see to rise and to grow your love from the bottom of your misery.
OF YOU, I LOVE YOUR SAME WEAKNESS.
I love the love of the imperfect ones.
I want you to elevate this scream from your poverty in a continuous way:
"Father, I love you".
That is the song of your heart that I want.
Do you believe that I need of your science or of your talents?
I don't look for perfections.
If I granted you virtues,
your pride would weaken them.
For it, don't disturb you.
I had been able to dedicate you to big things.
But not: YOU WILL BE THE USELESS SERVANT.
I accept of you it little that you have.
I have created you for the love.
¡YOU LOVE!!.
The love will impel you to carry out what you have to make...
without necessity of thinking it.
You only need to fill with love the present moment.
Today you HAVE ME IN THE DOOR OF YOUR HEART,
AS A BEGGAR... TO ME...
THAT I AM THE GOD OF THE GODS.
I call to your door... and I wait.
Hurry to open up.
Don't allege your misery for not opening up.
If you knew your poverty fully,
you would die from pain.
IT CAN ONLY HURT ME HEART
TO SEE YOU TO DOUBT AND TO LACK TRUST.
I want you to think of me in each instant of the day and of the night.
Never make loveless neither the most insignificant action.
When you have to suffer, I will give you my grace.
You have given me your small love.
I will give you an infinite love,
such a big love as you could never dream.
But don't forget:
LOVE ME, JUST AS YOU ARE.
And don't wait to be perfect to surrender to the love.
If you wait to be perfect, you won't never love.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

ÁMAME, TAL COMO ERES
(original adaptado a verso y posibilidades de traducción).
Conozco tu miseria,
conozco tus pecados y tus debilidades.
Hijo mio, DÉJAME QUE YO TE AME.
no busco perfecciones.
Si te concediera virtudes,
tu amor propio las debilitaría.
Por ello, no te inquietes.
Hubiera podido destinarte a grandes cosas.
Pero no: TÚ SERAS EL SERVIDOR INÚTIL.
Acepto de ti lo poco que tienes.
Te he creado para el amor.
¡¡AMA!!.
Hoy ME TIENES EN LA PUERTA DE TU CORAZÓN,
COMO UN MENDIGO ... A MÍ ...
QUE SOY EL DIOS DE LOS DIOSES.
Llamo a tu puerta ... y espero.
Apresúrate a abrirme.
Tú me has dado tu pequeño amor.

In Spanish PD is written:, but in English PS is written:. Miguel #2, Miguel #2, what you have said in the PS:, it is dangerous to say it here. To say that, they can put on a small sign next to the picture so that they notice you the young ladies of INTERNAF. I say that for experience: -). 200- Subject: Re: [INTERNAF] Children--another thought!, 24/12/1997.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX wrote: This issue of having children or not being born at all, can be answered by asking a simple question. That is, do handicapped people have worth? The answer is, of course, yes. I have FA. At times life is a struggle, but it is certainly worth living. I think I'm living a fulfilled life. I'm married, have two sons (not effected), and work. I do get stares from strangers, but so what. I must say, some of the responses I've read on this issue, sounded like Adolph Hitler wrote them. He had a solution for handicapped people's burden on society, he murdered them.

Friend ----------: Any relationship doesn't exist between Adolfo Hitler's attitudes and that that here we discuss. Adolfo Hitler forced to put sterile for surgery to the handicapped so that they could not have children [that is not freedom]. Here we speak of a paternity or maternity FREE AND RESPONSIBLE
Among us the farmers a joke exists. According to this joke, a family went to visit the lady of another farm that had used for the first time maternity. The lady visitor said to the mother:
- Huy, what uglier child!. I have not seen such an ugly child in my life.
- He doesn't have importance -The mother responded-. We only want him to plow the earth.
I don't believe that this never happens. To have a son [as in the joke] so that it serves us as carengiver, it would be an authentic atrocity. Here you cannot generalize. Each ataxian should analyze its circumstances... to consider their informations... to meditate... and to think what he, or she, can give to the son... and then, to act according to their conscience. That is a paternity or maternityFREE AND RESPONSIBLE. The only motive has to be the LOVE to the son...
